Pawnable Gold Terms

Pinas Gold jewelry is genuine, certified 18K gold that can be pawned. These terms explain what we guarantee, what pawnshops decide for themselves, and how to keep your piece pawnable.

Effective date: January 2026Pinas Gold (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a gold jewelry business in the United Arab Emirates. This document is governed by the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Please read this document carefully.

What Pawnable Means

Pinas Gold jewelry is pawnable: every piece is genuine, certified 18K gold, so it can be offered as security for a loan at a pawnshop or other licensed lender that accepts gold. These terms explain what that does and does not cover.

What We Guarantee

  • Every piece is genuine gold of the karat stated on the product page and on your tax invoice
  • Your tax invoice states the karat and weight of each piece, which a pawnshop can check
  • If a licensed pawnshop or testing laboratory finds that a piece is below its stated karat, we will refund or exchange it under our Authenticity Guarantee

What We Do Not Guarantee

Pawnshops and lenders set their own rules. We cannot promise that a particular pawnshop will accept a piece, or how much it will lend.

  • The loan amount is set by the pawnshop, usually from the gold weight, the karat and the gold rate on that day, and is normally less than the price you paid
  • Making charges, stone values and VAT are not usually counted in a pawn valuation
  • Each pawnshop decides its own interest, fees, loan period and redemption terms
  • Stones, pearls and other non-gold parts are not usually counted in the valuation

Keeping Your Piece Pawnable

  • Keep your tax invoice; most pawnshops ask for proof of purchase
  • Do not remove or alter the hallmark stamped on the piece
  • Have repairs and resizing done by a jeweler using gold of the same karat
  • Pieces that are damaged, altered or repaired with other metals may be valued lower or refused

Pinas Gold Is Not a Pawnshop

Pinas Gold sells gold jewelry. We do not lend money against gold or hold pieces as security. Any pawn agreement is between you and the pawnshop or lender, under its terms and the laws that apply to it. Exchanges and buy-backs with us are covered by our Gold Pricing & Hallmarking policy.

Identification

Pawnshops in the UAE and elsewhere usually ask for your Emirates ID or passport. If you later sell or exchange a piece with us, our Anti-Money Laundering Policy explains the identification we may need.
